The Monterey Bay International Trade Association ( MBITA ) http://www.mbita, ErgoVera http://www.ergovera.com and Advanced Safety Consultants (firstname.lastname@example.org) today announced a Free Ergonomic and Safety Conference scheduled on Thursday February 22 at the McPherson Business Center in Santa Cruz. ErgoVera and Advanced Safety Consultants provide companies with a broad range of services that are designed to help companies contain their workers’ compensation costs, maintain high levels of safety and keep their productivity high.
Advanced Safety Consultants has international experience with development, implementation, and management of Safety & Health Programs. They have coordinated and provided safety training to 15,000 management and union employees in hazardous materials, safety and health regulations, and material safety data sheets (MSDS). ErgoVera has assisted cities, public utilities, and large and small corporations, including high tech companies, with ergonomic issues, workplace redesign, workstation evaluation and worker’s compensation. They specialize in individual evaluations and innovative, fun group seminars on work safety and ergonomics.
Paul Johnson, Aviation & Industrial Safety Engineer, (OSHA), of Advanced Safety Consultants will explain and discuss elements of an effective safety program – including accident investigation.
Deidre Rogers, Nurse Ergonomist, of ErgoVera will discuss common ergonomic issues in the work place, give tips on keeping healthy at the computer, demonstrate a sample ergonomic evaluation, and review useful new ergonomic products.
Also, Mark Weaver, Director of the Monterey EAC (DOC) (http://www.usatrade.gov) and Tony Livoti, Director of the Monterey Bay International Trade Association (MBITA) will present their international business promotion services.
