Description: Guest speakers:

Mark Weaver, Manager of the Monterey Export Assistance Center, USDOC, will discuss the Transatlantic Small Business Export Initiative (TASBI), a special program designed specifically to promote transatlantic economic partnerships and alliances between small and medium-sized businesses (technology transfers and licensing agreements; distributorships; franchises; joint ventures and direct investments). Mr. Weaver will also present upcoming Trade Missions, Tradeshows and events in Europe, Asia and Latin American in the coming year that local Monterey Bay Region companies can participate in.

Sheridan Tatsuno of Dreamscape, Aptos, CA, will talk about how his virtual high-tech consulting company has brought him to the far corners of the world. Exporting high-tech services is growing rapidly as the rest of the world tries to keep up with Silicon Valley and Silicon Beach. Mr. Tatsuno will also discuss his new start-up digital film company, ala “Blair Witch Project”.

Also, a special live audioconference with Elma Carey from Europe HQ located in Dublin, Ireland, will be conducted at the luncheon highlighting different solutions to take a low-cost no-risk approach to break into the European marketplace. Europe HQ is the flexible and cost-effective way to establish an office in Europe, manage your international business and increase your sales. Europe HQ provides a unique portfolio of services that gives US high-tech companies a strong presence in the multibillion dollar European marketplace for minimal cost.
