Guest Speakers:

Miller & Fanwick New MBITA member, Mitch Miller of Miller & Fenwick, will summarize the issues companies need to know when marketing their intellectural property in foreign markets. The presentation will include information on strategic partnerships, joint-ventures, licensing trademark issues

Tripat Mangat with Utility Systems Corporation (www.utility-systems.com) will share his experiences of the potential misunderstandings and different cultural perspectives that help remove some of the mystery about consummating a business transaction in a foreign country. Mr. Mangat will discuss the fears of the unknown for American businesspeople that prevent good business opportunities from being realized in a foreign business culture while preventing American enterprises from venturing into new geographic markets although the results may be fruitful.
