Description: The Monterey Bay International Trade Association (MBITA)(http://www.mbita.org) and the Monterey Export Assistance Center (EAC) of the U.S. Department of Commerce (http://www.usatrade.gov) cordially invite you to attend the Santa Cruz Chapter luncheon meeting for June.

Guest speakers:

Jim Faith, Trade Manager for MBITA will introduce MBITA's new global trade development services for small to mid-size companies. They include export readiness assessments, market research reports, market-entry strategies, global trade marketing plans and its foreign country business meeting program.

David Hoffman of Guerrilla Media will give a presentation on how to make your marketing communications strategy successful to the global marketplace. Mr. Hoffman is a nationally acclaimed Peabody Winner and Producer/Director of over 100 PBS and TBS documentaries. He also specializes in creating, researching, writing, producing and distributing marketing communications messages for Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Hoffman will discuss how to craft the most effective messages for particular audiences using mass media and the WWW.

Moreno Bertoldi, Counsellor for Economic and Financial Affairs at the European Commission Delegation to the US in Washington DC, which represents the European Union (EU) (www.eurunion.org), will discuss the EU economic and monetary integration, the new currency Euro, the current economic situation in Europe and relations with the US.
