Ernest J. Scalberg was Dean of the Fisher Graduate School of International Business and Associate Vice President at the Monterey Institute from 2001-2009. During his tenure, the Fisher International MBA program was awarded accreditation by AACSB International and has been included in MBA rankings by the Financial Times, Princeton Review, and Beyond Grey Pinstripes. In 2005, Dr. Scalberg secured a government grant and matching foundation funds to create the GLOBE Center, a Center that conducts research, consulting, and educational programs focusing on adapting products and services for foreign markets.


Dr. Scalberg is the recipient of six U.S. Government research and project grants and has authored more than 20 publications on a variety of higher education and business issues. He has served as a director, advisor, or trustee for nine non-profit organizations and is listed in Who's Who in Hong Kong and Who's Who in the World. He is currently a trustee for Select Sector SPDR, an S&P 500 Index Investment Fund and Director for DBX Independence funds, both listed on the New York Stock Exchange. He also serves on the Boards of the United States and China Foundation and the Marina Technology Cluster, and Chairs the Board of the International University of Geneva in Switzerland.


His expertise is globalization/localization of products and services, global leadership, leadership development, international organizational behavior.
